ShedmoWelcome to Shedmo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Shedmo mobile application and related services.
By creating an account or using Shedmo, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to create or use a Shedmo account.
By using Shedmo, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. What Shedmo Is
Shedmo is a marketplace platform designed to help users discover, list, and communicate about tools, parts, equipment, and other permitted items available locally.
Shedmo provides the platform that connects buyers and sellers.
Shedmo is not the seller or buyer of items listed by users.
Unless expressly stated otherwise within the Service, Shedmo does not take ownership of items listed by users.
3. Local Transactions
Shedmo's current marketplace experience allows buyers and sellers to communicate and arrange local transactions directly with one another.
Users are responsible for determining whether and how to complete a transaction.
Shedmo does not guarantee: - That a buyer will purchase an item - That a seller will complete a sale - That an item exists - That an item is authentic - That an item is accurately described - That an item is safe - That a user is trustworthy - That a transaction will be completed
Users should exercise appropriate caution when arranging transactions.
4. No Current Marketplace Transaction Fee
Shedmo currently does not charge a transaction fee to buyers or sellers for ordinary local marketplace transactions.
We may introduce fees or additional paid features in the future. If we do, we will provide appropriate notice before applying new fees.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for: - Providing accurate account information - Maintaining the security of your credentials - Keeping your account information current - All activity occurring through your account
You may not create an account using another person's identity or information.
6. Listings
Information provided in a listing must be accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Listings must not: - Misrepresent an item - Use intentionally deceptive descriptions - Misrepresent ownership - Use stolen photographs or content - Attempt to defraud users - Include prohibited goods - Circumvent Shedmo's marketplace rules
You are responsible for the items you list.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Shedmo, subject to the license described below.
By submitting content such as listings, photographs, reviews, or other material, you grant Shedmo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, promote, and improve the Service.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to provide the content.
8. Reviews
Reviews should reflect genuine experiences.
You may not: - Submit fraudulent reviews - Manipulate ratings - Review transactions that did not occur - Threaten another user to obtain a favorable review - Offer improper incentives for reviews - Use reviews to harass another user
Shedmo may remove reviews that violate these Terms or our marketplace rules.
9. Messaging
Messaging is provided to facilitate legitimate marketplace communication.
You may not use messaging to: - Harass or threaten users - Scam or defraud users - Send unlawful content - Spam users - Circumvent marketplace restrictions - Attempt to obtain sensitive personal information improperly
10. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Shedmo to: - Violate applicable law - Defraud or deceive another person - Sell prohibited goods - Sell stolen or unlawfully obtained property - Circumvent enforcement measures - Harass or threaten another user - Impersonate another person - Manipulate reviews or marketplace activity - Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems - Interfere with the operation of the Service - Scrape or systematically collect user information without authorization - Upload malicious software or harmful code
11. Prohibited Items
Items that are illegal, stolen, counterfeit, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Shedmo's Marketplace Rules may not be listed.
Shedmo may remove listings that violate applicable law, these Terms, or our Marketplace Rules.

12. Safety
Shedmo does not independently inspect or certify items listed by users.
Users should use reasonable judgment when evaluating items and arranging local transactions.
When meeting another user, users should take reasonable safety precautions appropriate to the circumstances.
13. Enforcement
Shedmo may investigate suspected violations.
Depending on the circumstances, Shedmo may: - Remove content - Restrict listings - Restrict messaging - Warn users - Suspend accounts - Terminate accounts - Preserve information necessary for investigations - Take other reasonable measures to protect the Service and its users
14. Reporting and Blocking
Shedmo may provide mechanisms for users to report prohibited content, abusive behavior, scams, or other violations.
Where available, users may also block other users.
Reports may be reviewed and addressed according to the circumstances.
15. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original software, design, branding, trademarks, logos, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Shedmo and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, sell, or otherwise exploit the Service except as permitted by law or with Shedmo's permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Shedmo's intellectual property to you.
16. Third-Party Services
Shedmo may rely on third-party services and infrastructure.
Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
Shedmo is not responsible for the independent operation of third-party services.
17. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHEDMO PROVIDES THE SERVICE ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.
SHEDMO DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT: - THE SERVICE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE; - LISTINGS WILL BE ACCURATE; - USERS WILL ACT HONESTLY; - ITEMS WILL BE SAFE OR LEGAL; - TRANSACTIONS WILL BE COMPLETED; OR - THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHEDMO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR A TRANSACTION BETWEEN USERS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHEDMO'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID SHEDMO FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE PRECEDING TWELVE MONTHS OR THE MINIMUM AMOUNT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Shedmo and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from: - Your violation of these Terms - Your violation of applicable law - Your listings or user content - Your interactions or transactions with other users - Your misuse of the Service
20. Account Termination
You may delete your account through the account-deletion functionality provided within Shedmo.
Shedmo may suspend or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to: - Enforce these Terms - Protect users - Prevent fraud or abuse - Protect the Service - Comply with legal obligations
Account termination does not necessarily eliminate information that Shedmo is legally or legitimately required to retain.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Shedmo develops.
Material changes may be communicated through the Service or other appropriate means.
Your continued use of Shedmo after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
22. Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by applicable law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or other legal requirements that apply to you.
